10 Things I Learned from the Exodus

As days of trouble approach, this is a reminder of what our GOD is like and what HE is capable of, as demonstrated in the First Exodus. These events were written down for all generations to read about and to remember because these are the things that HE wants us to know about Him:

1. HE has complete command over life. HE turned Moses’ staff – a dry piece of wood – into a living snake and back again; and HE turned dust – an inanimate thing – into living gnats.

2. HE has complete command over sickness and health. HE turned a healthy hand into one with leprosy, and fully restored it. HE sent boils to cover the bodies of men and beasts in Egypt – and had them removed them at His command.

3. HE has complete command over the elements. And by elements I mean the very elements and atoms that make up every piece of matter on this earth – because of this HE was able to turn water into blood.

4. HE has complete command over weather and the heavens. HE sends hail and lightning and HE sends darkness, and HE provides protection from those things for His people.

5. HE is the one who gives wealth and can take it away, and HE can give it to whoever HE wants. HE completely destroyed the economy of Egypt, and as Israel left Egypt, Father gave His people favor with the Egyptians, so that their neighbors gave their wealth to them in the form of silver and gold and clothing.

6. HE distinguishes between those who are His and those who are not His. Throughout all the plagues of the Exodus, no harm came to His people. When Egypt had darkness for three days, Israel had light. When Egypt had storms and disease, His people were kept safe.

7. HE fulfills every prophecy and promise HE gives. HE told Abraham about the Exodus events hundreds of years before they happened, and they were fulfilled to the exact word and to the very day.

8. HE leads His people. Israel did not wander aimlessly, wondering where to go – HE led them by a pillar of smoke and fire.

9. His people can depend on Him for food and water. HE provided bread from heaven and water from rocks.

10. HE will live with His people. As Israel lived in tents in the wilderness, HE lived right there with them in a tent, in the middle of the camp.

YASHUA came with this same power and authority, showing us that nothing had changed but the time.

HE showed command over life by raising the dead,

HE showed command over sickness and health by healing many,

HE showed command over the elements by turning water into wine,

HE showed command over weather and the heavens by calming storms,

HE showed power over wealth by causing hordes of fish to jump in fishermen’s nets,

HE showed that we can depend on Him for food by providing bread for thousands, and

HE showed that His heart is and has always been to dwell among us. First YASHUA lived with us in an “earthly tent” as Paul puts it – in a body just like us, and now HE dwells in us through His Spirit.

Why is all of this important?

The days are coming when we will have to rely on Him for our food, our water, our health and our lives. So, Remember what HE’s like and what HE is capable of.

Remember that HE distinguishes between those who are His and those who are not His, that HE guides us, and that HE is with us.

The name HE gave to Israel right before HE took them to the wilderness was YHVH which, by the original Hebrew letters, literally means THE CREATOR OF MAN AMONG MEN.

Remember HE is with us.

YASHUA said to you I AM with you to the end of the age.

We have some great and wonderful and miraculous days ahead of us. His kingdom is coming. But first, we gotta take a walk with Him through the wilderness.

HE will show us the way.
